2026 Kindergarten Orientation

Next week we welcome the newest members of our St Matthews Catholic School community — our Kindergarten 2026 cohort! These future students will begin their orientation program, taking their first steps into big school life by attending their new classrooms with the teacher and classmates for 2026.

Over the coming three weeks, our orientation sessions will help children and families become familiar with our classrooms, teachers and routines, easing the transition into school next year. It’s always a special time as we watch these young learners begin their educational journey in an environment that nurtures faith, curiosity, and a love of learning.

We extend a warm welcome to all our new families and look forward to sharing many happy and faith-filled moments together at St Matthew’.

Pink Up Mudgee Mufti

This Friday St Matthews will show their support for Breast Care Awareness Month and Pink Up Mudgee by going pink for the day. We hope to see a sea of pink in support of a very important cause with the McGrath Foundation revealing that 1 in 7 women and 1 in 550 men will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

“For 20 years, we’ve given our all to breast cancer and achieved so much for many. And through it all gained a lifetime of knowledge.

Now, the proven positive impact of the way we care has led us to a new vision. We’re taking care of all cancers. And we need your help to do it.

We raise money to fund McGrath Cancer Care Nurses right across Australia and deliver world-leading clinical, psychosocial and emotional support to people with any type of cancer throughout their treatment.”

We ask all students to wear appropriate clothing, including fully enclosed shoes (no crocs or sandals). Sleeveless shirts, singlets, revealing clothing and inappropriate logos/slogans will not be permitted on this day.
